Jusan Bank awarded for best sustainability report

Jusan Bank received the prize for "Best Sustainability Report for 2022" in the annual report competition held by the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).

The National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC and National Company KazMunaiGas JSC were also awarded diplomats in the same nomination. Thus, Jusan Bank became the only company of the financial sector whose sustainability report (ESG report) was awarded by the prestigious competition in the corresponding nomination.

"The high assessment of the jury confirmed our leadership of our bank in ESG transformation and disclosure of non-financial information. We plan to further implement the most advanced practices in the field of sustainable development in our activities", - commented the results of the contest Arman Kasenov, Managing Director of the bank.

Within the framework of the contest the annual reports and sustainability reports for 2022 of legal entities - residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan who applied for participation in the contest, were evaluated.

The Exchange developed a procedure for evaluating annual reports, taking into account the assessment of various characteristics of the reports. In aggregate, 150 criteria were evaluated. 

Applications from 21 organizations of financial and non-financial sectors, as well as from non-public companies were submitted for participation in the competition.
Earlier this year, Jusan Bank took the highest place among banks in Kazakhstan in the rating of 50 best companies in the country in terms of ESG information disclosure, compiled by PwC Kazakhstan.
